This trip passes through the territory of two Central Asian Republics - Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan where in ancient times there were powerful states of Bactria and Sorgdiana. The ruins of the ancient fortresses of Merv, Khorezm, Afrosiab are preserved hither reminding of those times. Here in the Middle Ages a huge empire of Tamerlane was prospering. Wonderfully kept monuments of those times - Mausoleum of Tamerlane, Registan Square and others - will tell you about the grandeur of the epoch. But even modern aspect of the cities and valley, picturesque East bazaars, original culture and traditions of local people won't leave anyone indifferent.

Arrival in Tashkent. Transfer to the hotel and check in. Half day sightseeing in Tashkent including Barak-Khan madrassah (XVI c), Kaffal-Shashi mausoleum (XVI c), Kukeldash madrassah (XVI c), Museum of Applied Arts, Independence Square, Tashkent Metro, Uzbek National Opera House. |

Tashkent - Samarkand (330 km = 5 h)
Departure for Samarkand. Arrival in Samarkand and check in to the hotel. Half day sightseeing in Samarkand including Registan, Ulugbeg madrasah, Sher Dor madrasah, Tilla Kori mosque (1646-1659), mausoleum Gur Emir or “ruler’s tomb”, where Tamerlane was buried in 1405. |

Full day sightseeing in Samarkand including Rukhabad necropolis (XV c), Bibi-Khanum mosque (XV c), Ulugbek observatory (1420), Shakhi-Zinda (“The Living King”) necropolis of Samarkand rulers and nobles, oriental bazaar “Siab”.

Morning departure for Bukhara. Arrival in Bukhara, check in to the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing in Bukhara including Chashma Ayub Mazar (graveyard) (XIV-XIX cc), Poi-Kalan complex (XII-XVI cc), Ulugbek madrassah (it that was built by grandson of Tamerlan - Ulugbek - distinguished mathematician and astronomer). |

Full day sightseeing in Bukhara including Lyabi-Hauz complex (XVI-XVII cc), Samanid's Mausoleum (IX-X cc), Nadir Divanbegi Madrassah, built in 1630; Ark - ancient fortress (VI-VII cc).

Full day sightseeing in Ashgabat including Old Nisa, National museum of Turkmenistan, carpets museum, Oriental Bazaar. |

Flight to Dashoguz. Sightseeing in Kunya-Urgench including Fakhr-ad-din mausoleum, Tekesh mausoleum, Torebek-khanum, Nadim-ad-din Kubra (XII – XIII cc). Transfer to Khiva. Check in to the hotel. |
