Uzbekistan - Kyrgyzstan - China

Duration: 14 nights/15 days

Tour program:
A fascinating trip along the three Asian Republics - Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan including west part of China - Kashgar. The ancient cities - Samarkand, Bukhara, Osh - picturesque Fergana and high altitude Alay valley, hot deserts and eternally snowed Pamir peaks will appear in all their splendor. You will travel along the real ancient road, where a long time ago the Great Silk Road ran. The end of this part of your trip will be a new frontier (Kyrgyzstan-China) point on "Irkeshtam" pass that was opened in May 2002. From here, your way is to Kashgar and further to China.

Option 1
Day 1

Arrival in Tashkent
Arrival in Tashkent. Transfer to the hotel and check in. Half day sightseeing in Tashkent including Barak-Khan madrassah (XVI c), Kaffal-Shashi mausoleum (XVI c), Kukeldash madrassah (XVI c), Museum of Applied Arts, Independence Square, Tashkent Metro, Uzbek National Opera House.
Day 2 Tashkent - Samarkand (330 km = 5 h)
Departure for Samarkand. Arrival in Samarkand and check in to the hotel. Half day sightseeing in Samarkand including Registan, Ulugbeg madrassah, Sher Dor madrassah, Tilla Kori mosque (1646-1659), mausoleum Gur Emir or “ruler’s tomb”, where Tamerlane was buried in 1405.
Day 3

Samarkand
Full day sightseeing in Samarkand including Rukhabad necropolis (XV c), Bibi-Khanum mosque (XV c), Ulugbek observatory (1420), Shakhi-Zinda (“The Living King”) necropolis of Samarkand rulers and nobles, oriental bazaar “Siab”.
Day 4 Samarkand – Bukhara (280 = 4,5 h)
Morning departure for Bukhara. Arrival in Bukhara, check in to the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing in Bukhara including Kalon ensemble, Miri-Arab madrassah, Magoki-Attori mosque, Ulugbek madrassah and Abdulazizkhan, trade domes, Lyabi Hauz complex, Chor-Minor madrassah.
Day 5

Bukhara – Tashkent
Full day sightseeing in Bukhara including Samani dynasty mausoleum, Arc Fortress, Chashma-Ayub, summer residence of Bukhara Emir “Sitorai-Mokhikhosa”. Night train to Tashkent.
Day 6 Tashkent – Fergana (330 km = 5 h) – Kokand – Rishtan (50 km) – Fergana
Arrival in Tashkent. Departure for Fergana. Check in to the hotel. Half day sightseeing in Kokand including Khudoyarkhan`s palace (XVI c) and Rishtan - ceramic workshop of Rustam Usmanov. Way back to Fergana.
Day 7

Fergana – Margilan – Kuva – Osh (95 km = 1,5 h)
Departure for Margilan. Half day sightseeing in Margilan including the Silk Factory "Edgorlik". Transfer to Kuva. Short sightseeing in Kuva. Transfer to Osh. Check in to the hotel.
Day 8 Osh – “Taldyk” yurt camp (150 km = 3-4 h)
Full day sightseeing including Jayma Bazaar, Suleiman Too (Solomon Mountain) with its 16th century Asaf-bin-Burhia mausoleum, Prophet Salamon mosque, Rabat Abdullakhan mosque, 5-6 thousand year old petrogliphs and historical museum. Transfer along Pamir highway to “Taldyk” yurt camp. Overnight in yurts.
Day 9 “Taldyk” yurt camp - Kyrgyz-Chinese border (100 km)
Transfer to Irkeshtam pass (Kyrgyz-Chinese border). Departure.
Option 2
Days 1-8 The same as in Option 1
Day 9 “Taldyk” yurt camp - Kashgar
Transfer to Irkeshtam pass (Kyrgyz-Chinese border) and further way to Kashgar. Check in to the hotel.
Day 10 Kashgar
Full day sightseeing including the largest mosque in China Idkah mosque (1442), Apak Khoja’s Tomb – the holiest place in Xinjiang for Sufis (1640), handicraft street, old parts of the town, the Mor Stupa (3 BC) which is the remnant of the big Buddhist temple, located 45 km northeast of Kashgar and picturesque Atush village nearby: see Sultan Bograhan mausoleum, local Uygur families.
Day 11 Kashgar
Early morning visit colorful unique chaotic Great Sunday bazaar where you will see numerous sections: silk and cotton, knives, hats, pots and pans, fresh vegetables and fruits, carpets and jewellery, there is a separate livestock and horse section located 6 km from the main market.
Day 12 Kashgar -  Naryn
Transfer to Torugart pass (Kyrgyz-Chinese border) and further way to Naryn. Check in to the hotel.
Day 13 Naryn - Bishkek (350 km)
Departure for Bishkek. Check in to the hotel. Short sightseeing in Bishkek including Historical State Museum, Museum of fine arts and National park Ala-Archa.
Day 14

Bishkek - Tashkent
Flight to Tashkent. Check in to the hotel. Free time.
Day 15 Tashkent - departure
Transfer to the airport, departure.
